About the Authors


MuaraMuara Johnston has had an interesting career moving deftly between serious matters and light comedy. The key element in her flexibility has always been her ability to write and find just the right words to motivate or delight.

Her career has spanned two distinctly different paths. The first included 15 years in broadcasting working as associate producer for a nationally syndicated television show, then as an announcer for a number radio stations. Her second career has encompassed several management positions with non-profit organizations, specifically, an international consumer group and two arts centers. Most recently she organized a successful cinema program.

Her interests include film, jewelry making, scuba diving, and feline therapy. She is currently working on other book projects and a screen play.



EricaErica Dankoff has always been a writer and comedian. While pursuing a journalism degree from Syracuse University she performed in a comedy troupe and later dabbled in stand-up comedy. She spent many years as a broadcast journalist.

After earning a Masters degree in City and Regional Planning she became the speechwriter for a top state official and worked a variety of politically-related jobs, but became disillusioned with politics and returned to journalism. She authored a popular humor column and continues to write for newspapers and magazines.

Her interests include her horses, dogs, and husband. She is currently working on a screenplay.
